Professional Bio

Robert and his wife Renee have made their home in Augusta since 2003 and have enjoyed every aspect of this community. After 4 years in private practice he co-founded Christ Community Health and has helped it develop into a multisite health center with the mission to "proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Demonstrate his love by providing affordable, quality, primary health care to the underserved." In 2018 Christ Community Health was recognized in the top 20% of Community Health Centers regarding Quality. He is on staff at University Hospital and is an Associate Clinical Professor at both Mercer University and the Augusta University. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He has served on several local and national boards relating to education, healthcare, and Christian ministry. He accepted the Lee Norris Beard Humanitarian Award on behalf of Christ Community in 2019 and was a Medical Community representative at the 2021 Augusta Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Unity Breakfast. Robert and Renee enjoy the Augusta Symphony, Imperial Theater concerts , sailing, and anything that allows them to spend time with their 4 children. Robert is an active member of First Presbyterian Church.
